About Dani

Dani is the main organizer of one of the biggest Swiss floorball tournaments for people with disabilities, the March Cup. When Dani was 9, he started stumbling for seemingly no reason. Over the years, his motor abilities decreased and only much later, he was diagnosed with AOA1, a progressive neurodegenerative disorder.

Challenge

Today, Dani is a wheelchair user and controls his environment including phone and smart home devices with his voice. Due to the progressive loss of motor abilities, he has acquired difficulties pronouncing words accurately. Standard speech recognition started failing. Dani wants a device that understands his way of speaking and helps him control his smart surroundings.
