Develop a technical solution to help developing children’s autonomy
About the project
Children with neurological injuries have variable motor difficulties between the four limbs. It is often difficult for them to dissociate and coordinate their arm movements to move in a wheelchair. They also have a more or less significant strength deficit. They are then dependent on a third person or use an electric wheelchair. The latter does not guarantee independent movement indoors or in all public places due to accessibility concerns. In addition, with electric assistance, the child's motor activity is underused.
Challenge
We want to find a technical solution that allows them to propel themselves and adjust the direction by requiring the use of both hands, without any particular strength for the development of children's autonomy!
