Help Marc maintain his upper body in a wheelchair

About Marc

My name is Marc, I'm 62 years old and I live in Lutry in the canton of Vaud. Of French and Swiss nationality, I have a neuromuscular disease and have been in a wheelchair for 17 years! I am still professionally active as an executive at Nestlé. I have 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

My passions are my family, walks by the lake, travel and life in general!

My daily challenges are to manage the physical limitations linked to the progressive loss of muscle strength, particularly in the arms and upper body.

Challenge

The project I'd like to propose for this HackaHealth is to find a solution so that I can attach my upper body with a strap, belt or harness to ensure the stability of my trunk and prevent it from tipping over to the side.

The challenge is to find a solution that allows me to put on and take off the fastening system on my own, without hindering the use of my wheelchair. The situations in which I specifically need this device are when I'm driving my vehicle or when I'm out and about on slopes.

My 2nd project is to find a solution for attaching my seatbelt easily when installing it in my vehicle.
