Help Mary-Jane to use the touchscreen of her tumble dryer
About Mary-Jane
My name is Mary-Jane. I live in the charming town of Vevey and I am 58 years old. I have been a wheelchair user for about 20 years.
Challenge
For space reasons, a laundry tower has been installed in the bathroom. This laundry tower includes a washing machine with a dryer on top. This configuration is standard in an apartment that does not have a laundry room. The buttons on the dryer are at a height of about 1.60 m. Being in a wheelchair, I can't reach the buttons with my hand. Also, I can't read the information on the display. The buttons on this dryer are not mechanical buttons. They appear on a touch screen which does not allow for the buttons to be activated by pressing them with a stick. Finally, in order to control this dryer from a cell phone you need to activate the "remote control" function by pressing a button on the dryer's touch screen.
I would like to have a solution that allows me to interact with a touch screen to turn on the dryer and activate the "remote control" function of the dryer. This aid will allow me to control my dryer autonomously from my cell phone. It will also allow me to access the information displayed on the dryer screen.
